GE Interlogix High Resolution, Compact Color Camera Features ExView(TM) Technology
CORVALLIS, ORE. - February 11, 2003 - GE Interlogix, Kalatel (NYSE:GE), today announced that its new compact KTC-240CCE high-resolution color camera provides a solution for areas where space or discretion is an issue and lighting is difficult to control. Offering 480 lines of resolution, 0.02 lux high sensitivity and digital signal processing, the KTC-240CCE incorporates Sony's ExView technology for low light performance and excellent IR response. The camera measures a small 1.57 X 2.25 inches (39.98 x 57.15 mm) and weighs only 7.8 oz. (221 grams).
"The KTC-240CCE is perfect for those discreet locales that are tricky to light," explains Darren Nicholson, GE Interlogix, Kalatel Division vice president marketing. "Without compromising aesthetics, it lets organizations tactfully monitor areas, such as inside their lobbies or outside where patrons enter, without having to worry about changes in lighting."
The new camera's automatic backlight compensation prevents important foreground objects from becoming silhouetted against bright backgrounds. It also includes a high-speed electronic shutter that compensates for conditions ranging from bright sunlight to low-light environments. Advanced digital auto-tracking white balance (ATW) provides accurate color renditions, even under the most adverse lighting conditions. The KTC-240CCE accepts both C- and CS-mount lenses. It is also compatible with AES and DC auto-iris lenses. The compact camera includes a 24 VAC input and is easy to set up and use. It works with all GE Interlogix, Kalatel low-cost domes.
