Hardinge Inc. (Elmira, New York) will be displaying collets for Swiss-type lathes at IMTS 2002 at booth A-8000. Swiss-type headstock and sub-spindle collets are ground to precise size and TIR to meet precision machining requirements. Swiss guide bushings are carbide lined to keep the stock clean and unmarked. Extended-nose collets are available for doing pick-off work or to compensate for tooling interference. Hardinge's extended-nose Swiss-type collets also serve as emergency collets, heat-treated to 40 Rockwell at the head for easy machining to meet quick job turnaround.
