Informative Graphics Launches ProjectWeb(tm) Collaboration Software for AEC Firms

Brava!(tm) WebKit Extension Designed for Basic Project Collaboration Requirements in Small and Medium-Size AEC Firms

PHOENIX, Arizona - June 4, 2002 - Informative Graphics Corporation (IGC), a leader in Web drawing and collaboration technology, announced the debut of its ProjectWeb collaboration software for Architecture, Engineering and Construction firms that want to maintain secure control over their project CAD files and documents by deploying a simple, easy to-use project based data management system. IGC is demonstrating ProjectWeb for the first time Wednesday, June 5th at the AEC Systems show in Anaheim, California.

ProjectWeb is an extension to Brava! Webkit, enabling project team members to contribute, organize and share design files through an intranet or extranet without having to install, download software, or count users. Project administrators can easily create/delete projects, as well as secure and control project-specific information such as file access, upload and download, modifications, and print privileges. ProjectWeb features a email notification system that alerts team members to new assigned projects, file changes or special notations that can be added to any project document. ProjectWeb can run with either an MSQL or Oracle database, facilitating secure access and collaboration among team members inside and outside the corporate firewall. ProjectWeb is installed and administered by the customer on their local hardware; all intellectual property is stored locally.

IGC's Brava! WebKit is a set of Java-based components that allow users to view, redline, and print documents and drawings through their Web browser. It is embedded in most of the world's leading commercial AEC Application Service Providers. Brava! WebKit has proven to be fast, scalable and reliable. ProjectWeb wraps Brava Webkit components into a collaboration management solution.

"With ProjectWeb, we're delivering a project document collaboration system that meets the basic requirements regarding plan and spec sharing, security, and control for small to medium-sized AEC firms. ProjectWeb is designed for the schematic design to construction administration part of a project", said Gary Heath, CEO at IGC. "ProjectWeb is a key offering in a series of IGC Web-based products that put CAD content in motion downstream for the design, construction and management of an asset. We are providing a simple solution that is value-priced to serve smaller organizations and give them some of the same benefits found in full-featured project solutions."

ProjectWeb runs on Microsoft Windows 2000, and Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS, version 5). Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape version 4.0 and above running on NT, Windows 2000, and XP are supported.
