Landa Introduces New Cold-Water Pressure Washers with Roll Cage
Landa, North America's largest manufacturer of industrial pressure washers, has introduced a new series gasoline-powered cold-water pressure washer with a protective roll cage and cleaning power of up to 5000 PSI.
There are three models of the Landa MP series, powered by 11, 13 and 24 HP Honda engines. All feature a rugged 1-1/4-inch steel roll cage with lifting eye.
The largest model blasts at pressures of up to 5000 PSI, enough cleaning power to strip concrete from steel forms and cut barnacles from the hull of a ship. It combines this extra high pressure with a flow of 4.5 gallons per minute producing the most powerful unit in Landa's extensive fleet of nearly 50 models of cold-water pressure washers.
The MP-455034E, which has an electric-start engine, has a 5-gallon fuel tank providing up to five hours of continuous operation.
There has been a growing demand among pressure washer users for extra high pressure for several reasons:
o High pressure augmented by a rotary nozzle can nearly duplicate the effectiveness of sandblasting without the environmental and safety hazards;
o High pressure means less water volume, which conserves water over other heavy-duty pressure washers that sometimes have flow rates of up to 10 GPM;
o High pressure can clean faster, which translates directly into labor and cost savings.
The 5000 PSI pressure washers are being used in descaling flow lines in ships, stripping rust from metal, blasting concrete from steel forms, cutting barnacles from ship hulls, and ripping asbestos from ceilings, among others.
The MP comes standard with a 50 ft. of high-pressure hose (rated for 5800 PSI) and a 24-inch hose guard for operator protection. It rides on a durable steel chassis with a lifetime warranty and two or four pneumatic tires, depending the model.
