Original Press Release:

Increase Connection Fatigue Resistance with Smaller Box Tools in the Oil and Gas Industry

Rochester, NY – CJWinter has added a new product to their Cold Root Rolling Product Line. The 11069 Series Internal Thread (BOX) Bar-Style Tool was specifically designed for smaller Rotary Shouldered Connections in the oil & gas industry. The 11069 Series allows you to increase fatigue resistance of your connections without slowing down the process.

The 11069-SA Series will roll all standard API Rotary Shouldered BOX connections in the following ranges:

• NC31 thru NC38

• 3- 1/2 thru 4- 1/2 REG (Regular)

• 2- 7/8  to 3- 1/2 IF (Internal Flush)

• 3- 1/2 to 4- 1/2 FH (Full Hole)

With tools like the 11069 Series, cold root rolling burnishes the thread root in rotary shouldered connections, strengthening them and providing a solution to costly, over-stressed or even failing thread roots. The cold root rolling process has suggested an increase in fatigue life three to five times over similar untreated connections.
