DVT Introduces Powerful New Code Reader Intelligent Scanner XS features DSP Technology
Duluth, GA, March 31, 2004 - DVT has incorporated DSP technology into its most powerful code reading scanner, the Intelligent Scanner XS. Suitable for the most demanding applications, the Intelligent Scanner XS is three to eight times faster than previously available readers.
"The power of the Intelligent Scanner XS has been enhanced with the simultaneous release of version 2.7 of DVT's free FrameWork software," commented DVT CEO and Chairman Bob Steinke.
In Beta tests, the Intelligent Scanner XS was capable of performing over 100 data matrix reads per second using FrameWork 2.7, which includes an enhanced Data Matrix reader utilizing advanced grayscale processing which can read severely degraded codes printed with laser, ink-jet, or dot-peen marking technologies. With Framework 2.7, both the Intelligent Scanner XS and IS read an extensive expanded list of barcodes including all seven RSS codes, USS 128 Composite, UPC/EAN Composite, Planet Code, Micro PDF and PDF truncated. Additional reader improvements also include barcode grading for Code 39, Code 93, Codabar, and Interleaved 2 of 5.
