FIRESHIELD(TM) buildings offer the greatest versatility to meet a broad range of size, access and storage requirements. The pre-engineered buildings are fabricated from heavy-gauge steel with fire-resistive UL Classified gypsum board interior protected by galvannealed skins to meet the most stringent code requirements. Explosion-control venting options are available, where required.
The Two-Hour Bi-Directional FR Model building provides storage for hazardous chemicals and materials that need to be located near other buildings and/or property lines.
Drums, compressed gas cylinders, bottles and other packages containing hazardous materials are safely stored in a SAFETY STORAGE Two-Hour Bi-Directional Fire-Rated (FR/FRE) Hazardous Material Storage Building. The FR/FRE systems feature heavy-duty framed construction and UL Approved 2-Hour Bi-Directional Design Number U425.
Four-Hour Bi-Directional Fire-Rated Model 4FR for Hazardous MATERIAL STORAGE is required for the storage of flammable materials located very close to other buildings and/or property lines or when the storage building is placed within another plant structure. Four-Hour Bi-Directional (4FR/4FRE) buildings provide UL Approved 4-Hour Bi-Directional design (U490 standard) for the storage of drums, totes, compressed gas cylinders, bottles and other packages containing hazardous materials. Optional explosion control venting is available, if required.
SAFETY STORAGE FIRESHIELD, 2FR, 2 FRE, 4FR and 4FRE buildings feature 3-hour, UL Classified active double doors with UL listed frame and hardware, equipped with self-closer, security lock and interior safety release mechanism. Each building is equipped with a UL-Classified fire-rated air inlet vent, secondary containment sump system with galvanized steel floor grating and chemical resistant coating. Safety Storage provides a 10-year structural warranty on all FireShield, 2 FR, 2 FRE, 4FR and 4FRE buildings.
