Coaxial Coupling Closure Seals Out Environment
HARRISBURG, Pa. - July 20, 2006 - Tyco Electronics Corporation has introduced the CERTI-SEAL coax coupling closure. CERTI-SEAL coax coupling closures are designed for direct buried splicing or demarcation of series 59, 6, 7 and 11 coaxial cables as well as long-body F-81 sealed connectors. A gel-filled construction provides a durable, reliable environmental seal that can withstand a 14-day immersion without signal degradation. Additionally, CERTI-SEAL coax coupling closures can withstand a broad range of temperatures and have an operating range of -40 to +60 degrees C.
CERTI-SEAL coax coupling closures also provide for easy field installations and incorporate an intuitive, one-piece clamshell housing. No special tools are required for proper installation, inspection or repair.
CERTI-SEAL coax coupling closures are designed to meet Telcordia specification TR-NWT-000975.
