Original Press Release:

Sartomer Unveils New Generation of Coagents for Advanced Rubber Performance at IRC 2015

EXTON, Pa. - Sartomer, a subsidiary of the Arkema Group and premier global supplier of specialty acrylate and methacrylate rubber coagents, has announced that it will unveil its new generation of (meth)acrylate coagents, as well as its most recent recommendations for advanced rubber performance, at the International Rubber Conference (IRC). The event takes place June 29 to July 2 in Nuremberg, Germany. Sartomer will be co-exhibiting at booth #12-227 in Hall 12 with partner company Safic Alcan.

The high reactivity of Sartomer coagents brings significant improvements, such as a higher cure rate to optimize productivity and an increased state of cure to maximize final rubber performance. The unique chemistries of these products allow formulators to achieve superior rubber properties like hardness, elongation, tear resistance and compression set.

Sartomer has also designed unique scorch protected coagents through the Saret® product line, providing high scorch safety while maintaining cure rate and performance.

Sartomer’s new generation coagent, SRDFM, has been especially developed to combine the key benefits of the allyl and methacrylate dual functional structure. It allows cure and processing benefits, as well as an excellent set of mechanical properties to rubber compounds, when compared to the addition of triallyl cyanurate.

Visitors to booth #12-227 will be able to discover Sartomer’s new rubber coagents brochure. The benefits of the versatile chemical structures of Sartomer coagents as well as the Saret® range are highlighted. Also outlined is performance on the cure, processing and mechanical properties of rubber compounds.
