Ficep Announces Increased Capability in Their New CNC Angle Line
Ficep Corporation of Forest Hill, Maryland has selected FABTECH International 2004 (Booth #5040) to introduce a new model CNC angle line to their existing product line which already consists of eight different models. The new A 166 features the ability to not only punch and shear to length angle iron into finished parts from stock lengths, but it can also process flats and channel.
The A 166 can be furnished with an optional "Versa Press" for enhanced capability. The addition of this optional press permits such additional operations as notching, part marking and the ability to punch large diameter holes up to 2-1/2" in diameter.
The material is positioned automatically to the desired length by means of a roller feed drive and measuring system. In those applications where longer parts are generated and they require a higher degree of accuracy, the A 166 can be furnished with a rack and pinion material positioning and measuring system.
The CNC control system that is provided is the proprietary Ficep PC based CNC control. This comprehensive CNC system features the most advanced remote diagnostics that is currently on the market today.
