Wasino's JD-3 CNC Lathe Features Increased Capacity Sub-Spindle

Rolling Meadows, IL (October 18, 2002) - The main spindle on Wasino's JD-3 CNC lathe features a 2" diameter bar capacity for increased capability. Users can rely on the JD-3's main and sub-spindles to complete both rough and finishing operations for a finished A-B part. The JD-3's spindles are fully synchronized so it can transfer parts on the fly between main and sub-spindles.

The JD-3 is equally effective in both stand-alone situations and when integrated into flexible transfer lines. For efficiency, a pre-engineered gantry loader is used, to load/unload parts and a broad range of raw material supply devices are available. While featuring exceptionally small footprints, Wasino lathes are precise and powerful. Heavy cast iron beds with hardened and ground box ways and double sets of angular contact bearings ensure precision. The JD-3 is built from the ground up for automation. Wasino's controller includes .00001" X and Z offset control capability to allow for finer adjustment of machining tolerances.

Main and sub-spindle speeds for the JD-3 are 4,000 rpm, with spindle motor horse powers of 15 and 5: and chuck sizes of 8" and 4" respectively. The JD-3 features an integrated parts unloader for delicate parts. Optional accessories include a bar feeder or CNC bar feeder/loader and a SR Gantry loader system.
