Wasino's G05UP Sub-Micron CNC Gang-Type Lathe Finishes with Extreme Precision
Rolling Meadows, IL (October 4, 2002) - Wasino's G05UP sub-micron CNC gang-type lathe pushes the precision finishing envelope.
Designed with accuracy in mind, the G05UP is guaranteed to hold 1 micron in cylindricity, roundness and positioning. A precision-type integral motor, a built-in active thermal feedback monitoring system and an isolated automation package all contribute to the G05UP's accurate performance.
The G05UP's built-in active thermal feedback monitoring system ensures stable temperatures in the main spindle and motor, the x-axis ball screw and the coolant system. Stable overall temperatures result in greater turning accuracy and repeatability.
The Wasino G05UP is effective in both stand-alone situations and when integrated into flexible transfer lines. For efficiency, pre-engineered gantry loaders are used, to load/unload parts, and a broad range of raw material supply devices are available. The G05UP isolates the automation package separately from the machine. This eliminates any vibration transferred through to the machine during automation movement. The G05UP's floor type loader (SR-00 Gantry) features a Fanuc AC servo with vertical and horizontal rapid traverse rates of 3,200 and 4,356 ipm respectively. Loading/unloading time is 5 seconds.
Precision is further achieved through the use of heavy cast iron beds with hardened and ground box ways and double sets of angular contact bearings ensure precision. The G05UP is designed from the ground up for automation and offers .00001" X and Z offset capability to allow for finer adjustment of machining tolerances.
The G05UP is not only accurate. but it's fast too. Spindle speeds reach 12,000 rpm. Travels for X- and Z-axes are 8.66". Both axes feature rapid traverse rates of 600 ipm.
