Clock Oscillator and VCXO suit optical carrier applications.

Press Release Summary:

Suitable for Gigabit Ethernet applications, UVCJ series clock oscillator and UVVJ series VCXO are available with LVPECL or LVDS outputs in 5 x 7 mm ceramic packages. Both devices are offered in frequencies up to 800 MHz and offer 1 picosec rms typical integrated jitter from 12 kHz to 20 MHz up to 800MHz. They provide combination of low noise and good thermal stability (to ±20 ppm from -40 to +85°C).

M-tron Introduces 5 x 7 mm Low Jitter Clock Oscillators and VCXOs up to 800 MHz

YANKTON, SD - M-tron Industries, Inc. has announced the immediate availability of a new family of low jitter, 3.3 volt clock oscillators and VCXOs with frequency capabilities up to 800 MHz. The complementary output characteristics of these oscillators provide superior common-mode noise rejection, making them ideal for Optical Carrier and Gigabit Ethernet applications.

The UVCJ series clock oscillator is available with LVPECL or LVDS output in a 5 x 7 mm ceramic package. The UVVJ series VCXO is also available with LVPECL or LVDS output in a 5 x 7 mm ceramic package. Both devices are offered in frequencies up to 800 MHz, and offer 1 pS RMS typical integrated jitter from 12 kHz to 20 MHz up to 800MHz.

According to Dick Thompson, VP of Sales and Marketing, "The rapid growth of data communications has lead system designers to seek out higher speed network technologies. These higher capacity systems are more susceptible to degradation due to noise. M-tron's new oscillators offer a great combination of low noise and good thermal stability (to +/- 20ppm from -40 to 85C) versus SAW-based technology.

Pricing for the UVCJ and UVVJ series at 622.08MHz is $45.79 in quantities of 1,000 pieces. Delivery is stock to 3 weeks.

M-tron Industries, Inc., an ISO-9001 registered company, was founded in 1965. M-tron is a leading developer of high frequency oscillators with products available in small, surface mount packages at frequencies up to 800 MHz and higher. M-tron, based in Yankton, South Dakota, USA, is a subsidiary of the Lynch Corporation. Lynch is a member of the American Stock Exchange and traded under the symbol - LGL.
