Clock Data Modules suit SONET OC-192 applications.

Press Release Summary:

M830/831 series CDR modules regenerate spectral component from incoming NRZ data stream, and output low jitter clock and retimed complementary data. Typical data output jitter at 12.25Gb/s is less than 8ps p-p, making them suitable for SDH system applications. Modules use phase-lock loop architecture and high stability, low-nose SAW VCO to provide low jitter clock and data outputs. Series is available in 9.953, 10.66, and 12.24 Gbit modules.

Original Press Release:

New SAW-based Clock & Data Recovery Modules with up to 12.25 Gbit Rates for SONET Applications

Worcester, Mass. Micro Networks has developed a series of clock and data (CDR) modules using phase-lock loop architecture and a high stability, low-nose SAW VCO to provide extremely low jitter clock and data outputs for SONET applications.

The M830/831 series of CDR modules builds on Micro Networks' world leading capability in low phase noise and jitter performance to regenerate the spectral component from an incoming NRZ data stream and output a low jitter clock and retimed complementary data. Typical data output jitter at 12.25Gb/s is less than 8ps p-p. The new M830/831 modules are ideal for SONET OC-192 and SDH system applications.

The M830/831 series is available in 9.953, 10.66 and 12.24 Gbit modules featuring 0.9Vp-p complementary data outputs, a low noise and spurious recovered clock output, 200mV p-p input sensitivity, optional adjustable bias at data input to decision circuit, and externally adjustable decision threshold and clock phase shift. OEM delivery is from stock to 18 weeks ARO.

Micro Networks is a leading supplier of precision frequency sources, control modules, and filters for the optical networking, wireless base station, high-end server, and military markets. Micro Networks is ISO-9001 registered and certified to MIL-PRF-38534.
