Click Commerce Service Oriented Architecture Solution Named Codie Award Finalist

CHICAGO, Jan. 25, 2007 - Click Commerce, Inc., a leading provider of on-demand supply chain management solutions, announced today that the Click Commerce Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) was named a finalist in the Software & Information Industry Association's (SIIA) 22nd Annual Codie Awards. Established in 1986, the Codie Awards recognize outstanding achievement and vision in the software, digital content, and education technology industries. Click Commerce ESB was named a finalist in the Best Web Services Solution category.

Web services enable software applications to work together over the Internet or a local network, which reduces time and implementation costs. The Click Commerce ESB provides a flexible framework for creating composite applications which combine Click Commerce's products in unique ways to solve complex business problems. This framework leverages Web services and Business Process Execution Language (BPEL) to orchestrate the flow of information between Click Commerce applications.

"Over the past year, our customers have been asking for combinations of our software products that support their specific business processes. The Click Commerce ESB and our overall composite application framework strategy, which is based on a service oriented architecture, enable us to deliver these unique solutions," said Steve Cole, senior vice president of product management for Click Commerce. "Being named a Codie award finalist validates our technology vision and architecture for rapidly delivering high-value solutions to our customers."

The first composite application that utilizes the Click Commerce ESB is the Click Commerce Service Supply Chain Solution, which includes warehouse management; returns management; supply chain execution; and service parts optimization software. The solution addresses the needs of manufacturers in many industries, who manage worldwide networks of company-owned and third-party facilities to provide return and repair services to their end customers. The Click Commerce Service Supply Chain Solution provides real-time visibility and inventory control across an extended enterprise, improving service levels and helping Click Commerce customers deliver market-differentiating services to their end-customers.

During the first half of 2007, the Click Commerce ESB will also support the Click Commerce Extended Order Management solution, which orchestrates the management of orders from businesses and consumers across an extended network of company-owned and third-party facilities. This solution will synchronize demand and supply across the extended enterprise, improving service levels to end-customers while reducing order fulfillment costs.

"The 2007 Codie Finalists represent real winners, even at this stage of the contest," said Ken Wasch, SIIA president. "Competition is fiercer than ever and that makes selection as a Codie Finalist a real achievement. All the companies on this year's list should feel justifiably proud of their recognition."

Through a unique combination of journalist and peer review, the Codie Awards recognize 72 categories of outstanding products and services. This year's 367 finalists represent an impressive array of technology and business excellence, passion and success. They were chosen from more than 1,200 nominations submitted by more than 600 companies - breaking the record set in the 2006 awards. Over 219 individuals in the trade press, consulting, educators, IT specialists and other neutral specialists have reviewed all of the products entered.
