Cleanroom Capabilities Introduced at Sustainable Manufacturing Pioneer, Harbec, Inc.

Harbec, Inc. proudly announces their latest capability for producing tightly toleranced precision parts and within tightly controlled environments. The Harbec ISO class 8 cleanroom capability (https://www.harbec.com/cleanroom-capabilities/) minimizes microbes and bacteria by filtering air through a HEPA filter, which pressurizes the room and removes 99.9% of all particles—an extremely important factor in applications for which cleanliness is integral.

Based in Ontario, NY, Harbec, Inc. is best known as an innovative tooling, machining, prototype development, molding and production company. Harbec provides capabilities and solutions for the consumer product, sporting goods, defense/aerospace, transportation, medical, marine, and energy industries.

Bob Bechtold, President of Harbec states, "Representing our commitment to provide customers with high quality tightly toleranced and sustainable manufacturing solutions, the Harbec cleanroom offers the capability to test molds, develop prototypes, and produce parts in a tightly controlled environment. This is our latest investment to provide customers with superior value and with the backbone of a sustainable manufacturing operation that will achieved Carbon Neutrality at the end of 2013".

Harbec has strong capabilities in the use of innovative materials, problem-solving, and working with R&D and commercial organizations on unique prototypes or engineering and manufacturing groups on high volume production. HARBEC has capabilities for short (1-to-100 parts) or longer run (>1M parts) production. The new Harbec cleanroom can accommodate a range of prototype and production requirements.

Keith Schneider, General Manager of Harbec stated, "Our cleanroom capability is flexible to accommodate a diversity of customer requirements. The Harbec cleanroom is a modular device that can be customized to fit any application and built on to adapt to any project. The cleanroom goes over the molding machine, encompassing the molding area, making it as easy to use and cost efficient as it is effective. Its adaptability to fit molding machine means the possibilities are endless."
