Tweco(R) Introduces QCR(R) - 2000 Nozzle Cleaning Station For Robotic Cells

St. Louis - March 11, 2002 - The new QRC®-2000 Nozzle Cleaning Station from Tweco® Robotics® reduces downtime and improves weld quality when installed in robotic cells.

The QRC-2000 removes spatter buildup from robotic welding torches. An advanced Rotary Impact Drive (RID) system cuts away spatter, allowing the cleaned torch nozzle to continue the welding process. A unique Pneumatic Drive Exhaust (PDE) cleaning system keeps the reamer blade area free of debris. The QRC-2000 clamp mechanism ensures positive, secure nozzle clamping for accurate cleaning.

Tweco Robotics designed the QRC-2000 to be easy to install, program and maintain. The station uses only half the air required by typical cleaning stations.
