IPC Manufactures Safe and Effective Cleaners for Wastewater Facilities
Burlington, New Jersey, USA: International Products Corporation (IPC) is pleased to announce the use of their new concentrated cleaner Micro® A07 Citric Acid Cleaner in wastewater treatment plants. Micro-90® Concentrated Cleaning Solution and Micro® A07 are effective in removing suspended solids from wastewater treatment plants' effluent filters.
Many wastewater treatment plants use tertiary filtration to remove solids from their effluent filters just before discharge. One facility used household bleach to clean filter panels and were looking for an environmentally friendly alternative. Their test using Micro-90® was a success. They found Micro-90® cleaned as well as the bleach, but Micro-90® did not corrode the filter frames or degrade the filter media.
Micro-90® is a mild, yet powerful, alkaline cleaner effective in industrial and critical cleaning applications. Its unique formulation of chelants, ionic, and non-ionic ingredients produces a variety of cleaning actions that include lifting, dispersing, emulsifying, sequestering, suspending, and decomposing. Target soils include oil, grease, wax, tar, flux, particulates, hard water stains, and biological debris.
Micro® A07 is a citric acid cleaner with a blend of chelating citric acid and anionic surfactants for removal of scale, oxide, mineral deposits, rust and other inorganic soils. Micro® A07 is biodegradable, phosphate free and non-corrosive.
Both Micro® A07 and Micro-90® are highly effective at defouling filter membranes and, depending upon the soils, can be used intermittently to provide ultimate cleaning results. When included as part of a preventive maintenance plan, the alternate use of Micro-90® and Micro® A07 rejuvenate UF membranes to their original flux.
