Eliminating the use of liquid nitrogen will result in considerable savings - as much as 50 percent of production costs - as well as enhance the safety of the work environment. Workers will no longer risk exposure to the gas, which can cause severe frostbite if it comes in contact with the skin, and the use of cumbersome protective gear will no longer be required. In addition, special storage areas for the pressurized canisters can also be eliminated.
