Pre-setting TRIBOS Just Became Easier - TRIBOS / Zoller Pre-setter
SCHUNK Inc. is continuing to offer more to TRIBOS users. By consolidating know-how with the leading manufacturer, it is now possible to have the TRIBOS clamping system integrated into an optical tool pre-setting device. The combination of TRIBOS and Zoller will allow the customer to pre-set tooling in a TRIBOS holder within microns.
The TRIBOS/Zoller pre-setter is incorporated with the SCHUNK TRIBOS SVP-3 automatic clamping device. This notably allows the ease of pre-setting, but now offers tool changes with a simple push of a button. This software-based system will allow data storage up to 300 tool data records. All spindle tapers can be
accommodated via taper adapters using the 50 taper spindle which is built into the unit.
Tooling as long as 15 ¾" and 12 ½" in diameter and a maximum weight of 40 lbs. can be measured on this unit. The TRIBOS / Zoller pre-setter has an unbelievably accuracy within 0.001mm on the display and within 0.002mm on concentricity. The repeatability is guaranteed within +/-0.002mm.
