Clamping Handle Repositions Shaft Collars
A new handle that replaces the clamp screw and need for a wrench in clamp-type shaft collars that require frequent linear adjustments is being introduced by Stafford Manufacturing Corp. of Wilmington, Massachusetts.
The Grip & Go Clamping Handle from Stafford replaces a clamp screw in any of their clamp-type shaft collars to allow rapid repositioning without the need for a wrench. Featuring a knurled O.D. for a sure grip, this handle is now offered in 4-40, 6-32, 8-32, 10-32, 1/4-28, and 5/16-28 English sizes and M-3, 4, 5, and 6 metric sizes.
Providing high clamping forces, the Grip & Go Clamping Handle is available in three materials: steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. Ideal for making frequent linear adjustments to a feed mechanism, adjusting stroke length or table height, and positioning a test instrument, this clamping handle is not intended for rotary applications.
The Grip & Go Clamping Handle is priced from $ 1.95 (list), depending upon quantity. Literature is available upon request.
