Circular Saw Blades feature welded carbide teeth.

Press Release Summary:

Designed for construction, demolition, and specialty applications, WeldTec® Circular Saw Blades have carbide teeth that are welded, not brazed, creating strong tooth bond. PTFE non-stick coating minimizes binding and gumming, increases cutting speed, and dissipates heat, while perimeter vents strengthen core of blade and ensure fast chip ejection. In addition, laser cut plate with expansion control slots provides optimized flatness over broad temperature range with minimal warping.

The WeldTec Circular Saw Blades, last longer3 with IRWIN's innovative WeldTec process, featuring carbide teeth welded onto the blades, not brazed; creating a tooth bond that is stronger than other blades4. Additional components reinforce blade strength and make for a long lasting blade delivering true, clean cuts:

A PTFE (polytetrafluorethylene) non-stick coating reduced binding and gumming, increases cutting speed while dissipating heat damage.

Perimeter vents strengthen the core of the blade and enable fast chip ejection.

The laser cut plate with expansion control slots provide superior flatness over a broad temperature range with reduced warping and increased blade stability2.

Manufactured for framing, ripping and trim/finish work, the WeldTec Construction Blades are ultra-thin kerf. This ultra-thin kerf blades' welded carbide teeth provide a 25 percent stronger tooth bond.5 The construction blades are available in 5-3/8" 18T, 5-3/8" 24T, 6-1/2" 24T, 6-1/2" 40T, 7-1/4" 24T, 7-1/4" 40T, 7-1/4" 60T, 8-1/4" 24T, 8-1/4" 40T, 8-1/12" 60T6 sizes and tooth counts. The 7-1/4" blades are large also feature ring tensioning for increased blade control.

For ultimate durability in the most demanding applications7, the WeldTec Demolition Blades will feature welded demolition-grade carbide teeth, which have a 50 percent stronger tooth bond over traditional brazing methods8. Combined with specially designed tooth geometry, Every Other (EVO) with shallow Alternate Top Bevel (ATB) tooth grind, these blades deliver three times the nail cutting life.9 The WeldTec Demolition Blades will be available in 7-1/4'' 24T size and tooth count.

The new WeldTec Construction Circular Saw Blades are currently available at construction and industrial tool suppliers, home centers, hardware stores, and throughout the U.S. and Canada. The WeldTec Demolition Blades will be available in late 2016.  Suggested retail prices range from $9 to $60.
