Circuit Tracers locate cables up to 15 ft underground.
Press Release Summary:
Suited for de-energized and energized circuits from 0-600 Vac/Vdc, SureTest® Circuit Tracers enable electricians to locate fuses and circuit breakers, pinpoint breaks in wires and shorts to ground, and trace wiring concealed behind walls, floors, and ceilings. SwivelDisplay(TM) rotates itself so that readings stay upright regardless of what position tracer's receiver is in. Models provide numeric value from 0-99 and variable pitch/tempo audible indication.

IDEAL Circuit Tracer Leverages Technology to Deliver Performance, Ease-of-use, and Safety
SYCAMORE, IL, August 2, 2005 - The new SureTest® Circuit Tracers from IDEAL Industries, Inc. provide the highest levels of performance, ease-of-use and safety in their class. By leveraging state-of-the-art technologies, new IDEAL SureTest Circuit Tracers offer significant performance improvements, while at the same time providing advantages in user friendliness such as the new super-bright SwivelDisplay(TM), the industry's first display that automatically rotates itself so that readings stay upright regardless of what position the tracer's receiver is set in. Versatile enough for use on de-energized and energized circuits ranging from 0-600V AC/DC, the SureTest Circuit Tracers enable electricians to quickly locate fuses and circuit breakers, pinpoint breaks in wires and shorts to ground, trace wiring concealed behind walls, floors and ceilings, as well as cables buried up to 15 feet underground. Its advanced transmitter will not affect sensitive electronic equipment, and its inductive clamp allows non-intrusive tracing on low-voltage cable. "There has never been a circuit tracer as user-friendly as our new SureTest tracers," said Jim Gregorec, Group Manager of IDEAL's Test & Measurement Division. "For example, rather than just a series of blinking LED lights and a constant audible, our SureTest models provide a numeric value between 0 and 99 plus a variable pitch/tempo audible indication for quick, simple-to-understand tracing feedback." The innovative SwivelDisplay, along with a CAT III 1000V safety rating, and four clearly defined modes of sensitivity-based operation (search high, search low, trace, breaker) make SureTest Circuit Tracers both productive and practical in residential, commercial and industrial environments. Moreover, with its AA batteries, the new tracers provide four times the tracing power and battery life of conventional 9-volt circuit tracers currently on the market. IDEAL is making its SureTest Circuit Tracers available in two kits: the cost-effective 61-954 that consists of a transmitter, receiver, leads, alligator clips, prongs and adapters for $395 MSRP (U.S), and the 61-958 kit that includes those items but substitutes the receiver for the super-bright SwivelDisplay and adds an inductive clamp with battery pack for low-voltage loops for $795 MSRP (U.S.). Both kits come with a hard carrying case. For more information, contact IDEAL INDUSTRIES, INC., Becker Place, Sycamore, Illinois 60178. Or phone 1-800-435-0705, Fax: 1-800-533-4483.
