New Circuit Breakers From Square D/Schneider Electric Reduce Footprint By Up To 40 Percent
Built-in open communication platform adds flexibility
PALATINE, IL. - August 13, 2002 - POWERPACT® P and POWERPACT® R circuit breakers, newly released from Square D/Schneider Electric, are available now inl-LINE® panelboards and POWER-STYLE® QED-S and QED-2 switchboards.
"The new P-frame circuit breaker is 40 percent smaller than the N-frame circuit breaker, with the P-frame measuring just 9" wide and the R-frame measuring 15" wide. A smaller footprint permits denser unit installations," says John Bliven, product marketing manager at Square D/Schneider Electric.
"The new breakers are available with either an 80 percent or a 100 percent rating - up to 1200 A for the P-frame and up to 2500 A for the R-frame - for increased commercial and industrial application flexibility.
