GigaLinx Unveils GEViewer(TM)- Industry's First Solution for Directly Connecting a GigE Camera to a Monitor
Vision 2007 Trade Fair - STUTTGART, Germany, November 6 / / -- GigaLinx Ltd. today unveiled industry's first solution for direct
connection of a GigE-Vision(TM) camera to a monitor.
GEViewer(TM) is ideal for applications requiring monitoring by a human operator such as product/process inspection, vehicle/aircraft control and medical imaging. For such applications GEViewer(TM) replaces the PC, thus saving space, reducing cost and increasing reliability (as GEViewer(TM) has no moving parts and no operating system).
The first product to be released in the GEViewer(TM) family is the GEViewer(TM) 100S - capable of connecting up to 3 Composite / Y/C TV monitors to a single GigE camera. Other products in the family will support additional monitor interfaces, such as DVI for LCD monitors.
"We are very proud to be the first in the market with this new line of products," said Yoav Neuman, founder and CEO of GigaLinx. "In the past, many applications used analog cameras that were directly connected to a TV monitor. With the market shifting from analog to digital, we see a growing need for direct monitor connectivity for digital cameras as well."
