RadioPulse Released the First Voice-enable ZigBee Single Chip

MG2450 and MG2455 support voice over ZigBee for voice-enable ZigBee Applications

Seoul, Korea - October 17, 2007 - RadioPulse Inc., a leading provider of ZigBee & LR-WPAN chip, announced today the release of voice-enable ZigBee single chip, MG2450 and MG2455 for voice-enable ZigBee applications. The chips are compliant to ZigBee and IEEE 802.15.4 standard and support ZigBee 2006 stack profile on-chip flash memory.

"RadioPulse has worked closely with the ZigBee Alliance to develop the ZigBee Compliant Chip and stack software, " comments Wang Sung Ho, chief executive officer of RadioPulse. "We're glad to release the first voice-enable ZigBee chip and its application solution to market. "

MG245X product family featured by world class performance in high Tx power, high Rx sensitivity, low power consumption, high data rate and application targeted block. The chips integrates 2.4GHz RF transceiver, 8-bit microcontroller, a/u-law voice codec, 64-key scan, 96KB embedded flash and 8KB SRAM, 8-bit ADC into single chip. Developers can easily develop their target application product with MG245X for both ZigBee application and proprietary wireless application. MG245X supports 250Kbps, 500Kbps and 1Mbps for more wide-range wireless application. The chips support 16MHz MCU system clock and Max. 1Mbps UART interface. One of competitive feature is both 16MHz and 19.2MHz crystal oscillator support. With these features, developers can achieve wireless application for small form-factor circuit and low cost BOM.

MG245X designed for both today and tomorrow ZigBee application. With embedded voice encryption codec, developers can achieve time-to-market voice over ZigBee application product. MG245X supports max. 64-Key scan and 8-bit LCD interface for cost-effective wireless Remotecon application. 4-channel and 8-bit ADC is designed for wireless sensor network application with only MG245X.

MG245X will be released in October, 2007. The unit price for 10K is US$3.5. RadioPulse provides ZigBee chip, ZigBee stack software, software development platform, application development kit for one-stop technical support.
