Displaytech, Ltd. Broadens Product Line of 128 X 64 Chip On Glass Displays



CARLSBAD, CA APRIL 17, 2006: Displaytech, Ltd. announces the introduction of several new models in its 128 x 64 chip on glass LCD display product line. Three distinct sizes are now available, including view areas of 50.0 X 25.0 mm, 70.0 X 40.0 mm, and 60.6 X 33.1 mm. Dot size ranges from 0.33 x 0.33 to 0.48 X 0.48 mm. In addition to the COG displays, Displaytech offers five different modules that incorporate a white LED backlight. Backlight voltage ranges from 2.3V to 3.5V with typical current of 20-80 mA, making these packages extremely well suited for mobile applications. The product line is rounded out by the introduction of modules with RGB backlights, which enable the user to switch between red, green, or blue backlights and combinations of the three to create up to seven backlight colors. Pricing for the COG display itself starts at $5.50 each in 1000 quantity, and with white LED backlight starts at $7.75 each.
