Bosch Pharmaceutical Division at Interphex 2006: Fast and Reliable Patented Capsule Checkweighing Technology

Compatible with all commercially available capsules
Features precise gravimetric design and patented hanging weight cell technology
The fastest capsule checkweigher on the market at speeds of up to 3,800 capsules per minute
Integrates with any standard capsule filling machine
Bosch Packaging Technology announces its new KKE 3800 high-speed capsule checkweigher that sets the standard in the field of 100% capsule checkweighing.

The KKE 3800 offers precise gravimetric weighing technology and an ergonomic design for all commercially available capsules including gelatine, cellulose and liquid capsules. The KKE 3800 is the fastest capsule checkweigher on the market, allowing users to weigh capsules at incredibly fast speeds of up to 3,800 capsules per minute. The KKE 3800 features patented "hanging weigh cell" technology that safely weighs all capsules while avoiding dust or residue build-up within the weighing cell. The innovative gravimetric design also eliminates static electricity, allowing capsules to transfer freely without getting caught in the track, or the need for traditional vacuum systems, which require ongoing maintenance. Also significant are the Bosch-designed, low-cost size parts that offer quick tooless changeovers between capsule sizes and require no aligning.

The KKE 3800 also delivers reliable checkweighing through the entire process ensuring a secure separation of good and bad capsules. As capsules travel through the size part and into the hanging weight cell, the Automatic Trouble Shooting (ASB) function automatically detects and ejects deformed capsules helping to eliminate unnecessary downtime and increase productivity. Batch and operation data is stored for digital evaluation in the Windows® XP operating system. Data can also be saved on the integrated DVD burner or transferred to an external system via the USB port. Users can directly link the KKE 3800 with Bosch capsule filling machines via pneumatic transfer for the most efficient process, or any capsule filler regardless of the manufacturer.
