Thermoplastic Diaphragm Check Valve Not Dependent Upon Gravity for Sealing
Cedar Grove, New Jersey: A patented diaphragm check valve which maintains bubble-tight seal in whatever position it is mounted is being manufactured and marketed by Plast-O-Matic Valves, Inc.
Because they are not dependent upon gravity, mounting position or reverse flow, these valves represent a significant advancement and improvement over conventional ball type check valves on the market.
The outstanding feature of this valve is a patented diaphragm, which automatically positions itself against the valve seat in an identical location each and every time. This unique characteristic results in improved performance, reduced wear and long-term service life.
Another noteworthy feature is these valves are chatter-proof as well as leak-proof. Since there is no internal sliding or loose parts to slam or vibrate, chattering is eliminated and operation is silent.
The Series CKM valves can be used for highly aggressive or ultra-pure liquid applications. Their normally-closed design provides important protection against the potential hazards caused by reverse flow of highly corrosive liquids such as hydrochloric or sulfuric acids, chlorine solutions or caustics.
Available in sizes ½", ¾" and 1" NPT, standard body material is PVC, with Polypropylene, PVDF (Kynar®) and Teflon® also available. Diaphragms are Buna-N, EPDM or Viton®.
