TROY Introduces 4014, 4015, 4515 MICR Printers Powered by HP, Enhanced for Security by TROY
COSTA MESA, Calif., June 9 -- TROY Group, Inc., a Worldwide leader in Secure On-Demand Printing Solutions, announces our new line of MICR Printers based on the HP LaserJet P4014n, P4015n, and P4515n series printers. TROY's full-line of MICR Printers provides built-in features which help secure your on-demand document printing process.
The TROY MICR 4014, 4015 and 4515 Printers are available in three security configurations, giving customers a range of fraud deterrent and operational security options. The TROY MICR 4014, a base level MICR printer, provides all the TROY recommended options necessary for reliable check printing. The TROY MICR 4015 and 4515, a MICR Secure model, include additional features providing a higher level of security for use in higher risk printing environments. TROY's fully featured MICR Secure Ex printer, available as a TROY MICR 4015 and 4515, offers the highest level of security available to financial professionals. The TROY Secure Ex product line offers 3-position key lock control, paper tray locks and enhanced printer firmware security to discourage casual and professional fraud. All three models ship with TROY's unique ExPT(TM), Exact Positioning Technology that insures precise placement of the MICR line for reliable check processing.
The TROY MICR 4014 Printer provides customers 45 pages per minute and a monthly duty cycle of 175,000 prints per month. With a lower duty cycle and a slightly lower page per minute than the 4015 and 4515; the TROY MICR 4014 is ideal for workgroup check printing where only basic MICR printing features are required.
The TROY MICR 4015 Printer provides customers 52 pages per minute and a monthly duty cycle of 225,000 prints per month. Replacing the 4250 series of printers, the 4015 provides a more robust unit, with a new numeric keypad for use in high security PIN authentication workflows. The TROY MICR 4015 Secure and Secure Ex printers provide the features and security options needed for a wide range of secure workgroup MICR printing environments.
The TROY MICR 4515 Printer provides customers an unprecedented 62 pages per minute desktop laser printer print speed and a monthly duty cycle of 275,000 prints per month. As a replacement to the 4350 series of printers, the TROY MICR 4515 Secure and Secure Ex printers are also available with a numeric key pad for secure workgroup printing workflows.

HP has introduced a new low-melt technology in their toner which requires less energy by reducing the fusing temperature. TROY has followed suit, by developing a MICR toner which performs reliably with HP's reduced fuser temperature utilizing less energy.
To add MICR capabilities to your HP LaserJet 4014, 4015 or 4515, TROY offers a Font Memory Kit which provides the TROY's MICR and Security Fonts, providing the ability to print checks.
TROY is also introducing 10,000 print standard yield and a 24,000 print high yield MICR toner cartridges for use in this new series of printers. All TROY MICR Toner cartridges and fonts are specifically designed for use in TROY MICR and HP LaserJet printers at standard HP fuser and printer settings, assuring printer reliability and long printer life.
