Check Point Extends Secure Remote Access to Windows Mobile Powered Devices to Enhance User & IT Productivity

Uninterrupted Connectivity and Security for Mobile Devices Leverages the Unified Security Architecture of the NGX Platform to Minimize Administrative Effort

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. -- Check Point® Software Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq:CHKP), the worldwide leader in securing the Internet, today announced the availability of SecureClient(TM) Mobile, a new mobile security solution that gives Windows Mobile device users secure, uninterrupted remote access to enterprise e-mail and critical business applications. A lightweight, purpose-built client for Windows Mobile powered devices, SecureClient Mobile maintains continuous and transparent VPN connectivity with Check Point VPN-1® and Connectra(TM) gateways when roaming across networks, and eliminates the need for end-users to re-authenticate. Check Point SecureClient Mobile allows users the freedom to roam without interruption to service or security, while enabling the mobile workforce to take full advantage of the promise and flexibility of today's mobile computing technology.

"VPN transition between cellular data networks and Wi-Fi networks will be increasingly critical to user productivity and security as access to more and more business applications are extended to mobile devices," said Samir Kumar, senior product planner, Microsoft Corporation. "Check Point offers a powerful security option for customers running Windows Mobile-powered devices."

Features within Check Point SecureClient Mobile include:

Location-independent Network Access: Designed for mobility and portability, the SSL-based VPN client easily and securely connects across multiple networks and network types.

Enhanced Device Security: Equipped with pre-defined security policies, mobile devices and data are protected from hackers and malware, while additional security settings include the ability to allow or disallow mobile device synchronization with local PCs for more granular security enforcement.

Advanced Roaming: Session continuation and credential caching enables automatic re-connection without re-entering user and security credentials to preserve the VPN session and productivity.

Automatic Data Delivery: Advanced networking features enable any IP application to communicate directly to the mobile device through the VPN tunnel, such as Microsoft's Direct Push Technology to send e-mail, calendar, contact, and task updates to Windows Mobile powered devices as items arrive or change on the server.

Centralized Management and Policy Control: Policy control through a single, unified management interface with Over the Air (OTA) capability ensures automatic update, compliance and remediation.

"SecureClient Mobile builds on Check Point's years of experience securing remote access for Windows and Macintosh laptops using VPN-1 SecureClient. It allows IT managers to quickly and easily extend their critical applications to mobile devices and brings secure remote access for a broad range of endpoints under unified management," said Rich Weiss, director of product marketing at Check Point Software Technologies. "With uninterrupted connectivity, easy agent deployment and efficient centralized management, SecureClient Mobile complements existing Windows Mobile technology and our OPSEC partners' applications to support today's mobile workforce."

Pricing for Check Point SecureClient Mobile is based on the number of licenses with $40 USD per client for a 1,000 user perpetual license, and is available immediately for all Microsoft Windows Mobile Pocket PC 2003/SE and Windows Mobile 5.0 devices.
