MicroBox(TM) Chassis Mount in 19" Racks
Most short-length MicroBox(TM) chassis are bolted to flat surfaces such as benchtops or walls. Now, CyberResearch® has added rack-mount flanges to the 3-slot and 5-slot chassis so that they can be conveniently placed in industry-standard 19-inch racks.
Short-length MicroBox chassis are known for their ability to mount to any stable horizontal or vertical surface. With the addition of rack-mount flanges, CyberResearch, Inc. makes it possible for you to put any computer designed around MB IPC/X3R and MB IPC/X5R chassis into conventional 19-inch racks.
Three-slot chassis in this family come with either 3 ISA or 2 PCI plus one PISA slot, and they weigh less than 8 pounds. Five-slot models come with either 5 ISA slots of 3 PCI, 1 PISA, and 1 ISA slot, and they weigh less than 11 pounds.
Three-slot chassis are less than 2 RU high. They come with one 3.5" drive bay, which can be used for a floppy drive or a hard drive. Five-slot chassis are less than 3 RU high. They come with one external 3.5" floppy drive bay and one internal 3.5" hard-drive bay.
Both chassis sizes come with dual cooling fans that have removable filters. Fans on the 3-slot chassis are 6 cm in diameter, those on the 5-slot chassis are 8 cm in diameter.
