New Chassis Clip Enables Wall Mounting of Modular Interface Supports from Camden Electronics

Camden Electronics has introduced a new chassis clip that converts its DIN rail mounting modular interface supports for wall or chassis mounting.

Available for both CIME/M 72mm and CIME/E 107mm versions, the clips feature two lugs that simply fit into moulded holes on the interface supports enabling immediate mounting on a chassis or wall. Each size is available in two versions enabling modular supports with or without integral DIN rail mounting foot elements to be converted.

The new clips provide additional versatility to Camden's modular interface supports. The CIME/M and CIME/E series offers modular construction, easy snap-fit assembly and are suitable for mounting 72mm and 107mm wide PCBs respectively. The DIN rail mounting supports offer a number of time-saving enhancements such as side elements that incorporate the DIN rail mounting foot element in the same moulding. Supports and chassis clips are moulded in self-extinguishing UL94V0 industry standard green polyamide 66 and are available in grey or black on request.

The supports are ideal for use in any application where a PCB assembly needs to be DIN rail or chassis mounted including control panels, power supplies, transformers, PLC/photoelectric interfaces, safety and monitoring modules, alarm monitoring, overvoltage protection, data recording, lightning protection, fuseholders, relay modules and optocouplers to name just a few.

Besides saving in assembly time and costs, Camden's innovative registered design of the supports has enabled price reductions of around 20 to 25%. The combination of lower piece part costs, wider side components and integral foot elements allows customers to make significant savings in production costs.
