Charger/Calibrator performs push-button bump tests.

Press Release Summary:

AutoRAE scales from PC-free, push-button bump test, calibration, and charging system to PC-driven, automated calibration system with bi-directional communication to docked monitor. It calibrates O2, CO, LEL, H2S and PID sensors and handles up to 10 cradles per controller. Single rigid mechanism, containing power, data, and gas throughputs, snaps one cradle to another. LEDs inform user of gas detector pass or fail and charging or charged status.

RAE Systems Introduces AutoRAE- a Docking, Charging and Calibration Station

The AutoRAE, which will be introduced by RAE Systems on Sept. 13, is a docking, charging, bump test and calibration system. The first release will feature AutoRAE for EntryRAE, and then, over the next six months, AutoRAE cradles will be available for other RAE Systems products - MultiRAE Plus, QRAE Plus, MiniRAE 2000 and ppbRAE Plus. The AutoRAE bump and calibration system scales from a PC-free, push-button bump test, calibration, and charging system, to a PC-driven, automated calibration system with bi-directional communication to a docked monitor. With AutoRAE, gas detectors are always calibrated and charged, thus increasing user confidence and safety and also reducing the cost of maintenance and record keeping. This first release, featuring AutoRAE for the EntryRAE, will operate without the need of a PC. AutoRAE will bump test, calibrate and charge the EntryRAE - automating calibration for all five sensors (O2, CO, LEL, H2S and PID). Consisting of a controller and at least one cradle, the system will handle up to 10 cradles per controller. Demand-flow regulators combined with special tube-locking mechanisms let the user securely connect cylinders of calibration gas to the controller. Connecting the cradle to the controller or connecting cradles to each other is a snap. A single rigid mechanism, containing all three throughputs (power, data, and gas), snaps one cradle to another. By simply setting an EntryRAE in its cradle (with the filter on!) the power, gas and data ports of the gas monitor are all engaged. Press the cradle button once for bump test, twice for calibration, and walk away. A few minutes later the easy-to-read LEDs inform the user of the status of the gas detector "Pass" or "Fail" and "Charging" or "Charged" And if the unit fails the bump test, the system will automatically do a calibration. Easy and reliable bump test and calibration, automatic charging - the AutoRAE helps keep your RAE Systems detectors ready to use. The AutoRAE will be on display Sept. 13 to 15 at the National Safety Council Show in New Orleans, Louisiana at RAE Systems' Booth #2138.
