Charge Amplifier supports in-the-mold pressure sensors.

Press Release Summary:

Type 5155A conditions sensed data to enable proper transition from injection phase to holding phase of molding. Powered by 18-30 Vdc, unit is available in single-, 2-, or 4-channel versions. Optional internal module makes charge amplifier a controller for automatic switchover. Switchover at optimum point is driven by gradient in pressure rise sensed by cavity pressure sensor. Temperature and viscosity are compensated to avoid early or late switchover.

Plastics Molding Sensor Amp has New Conveniences

A new charge amplifier designed to support operation of in-the-mold pressure sensors is available from Kistler Instrument. The unit conditions sensed data to enable the proper transition
from the injection phase to the holding phase of molding.

The type 5155A charge amplifier is available in single-channel, 2-channel or 4-channel versions. Standardized connectors used in a rugged enclosure promote easy connection.

An optional internal module makes the charge amplifier a controller for automatic switchover. Switchover at the optimum point is driven by the gradient in pressure rise typically sensed by a cavity pressure sensor. Temperature and viscosity are compensated to avoid an early or late switchover. Two measuring ranges are provided. The unit is powered by a DC from 18 to 30 Volts.

Kistler is a worldwide supplier of precision instrumentation for the measurement of pressure, force and acceleration serving the R & D, industrial and automotive communities.
