mk® Automation Introduces Standardized Fixture Chain Conveyors



Bloomfield, CT November 22, 2004..mk Automation, Inc. now offers a new version of it's KTF-P 2010 chain conveyor for fixture attachments. The standard line of Fixture Chain Conveyors is offered in single or duplex chains. Chains designed to handle many attachment link styles on multiplies of one-half inch pitch. This concept is ideal for fixturing assembly components for indexing from one operation to another with manual or automatic loading. KTF-P conveyors can be supplied with or without part holding fixtures depending on customer system integration requirements. Chains run on low friction PE wear strips to provide long term wear resistance over a broad temperature range. Sealed bearings offer low maintenance and the ability to handle robust operations. Conveyors base width is 50mm and units can be ganged together on given centerlines to accommodate longer parts. Conveyors lengths to 40 feet are standard. KTF-P attachment conveyors supplied in head drive versions and return support bars are included for fixture return support.

Motor selections include DC, AC, Stepper and servo style units, with appropriate speed controls from DC variable to servo drives are offered. T-slots are accessible on two sides of the profile frame for the attachment of stands, side rails, sensors and shot pins as required.

An enormous variety of stand options are offered including height adjustable for easy system adjustments. Other options include floor mounting brackets, rollers, casters and leveling pads among others. Built from cost-effective standard mk components to meet competitive demands of assembly automation.
