Chain and Belt Guides Oil-Filled for Faster Conveyor Speeds
A full line of FDA-approved chain and belt guides for use in
conveyors that feature oil-filled UHMW (ultra high molecular
polyethylene) construction to permit faster operating speeds
introduced by Slideways, Inc. of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts.
Slideways Oil-Filled Chain and Belt Guides are fully impregnated with an FDA-approved lubricant and can eliminate the need for external lubrication in many applications, depending upon the load and curve radius. Permitting chains to run at up to 400 FPM, which is twice the speed of virgin UHMW, these chain and belt guides are available in a variety of configurations.
Featuring one- and two-piece curves in standard 18", 24", and 30" radii and as straight wear strips from 2" to 16" W, Slideways Oil-Filled Chain and Belt Guides provide a 0.16 coefficient of friction. They can accommodate stainless steel and plastic side flexing chain and thermoplastic belts. Custom configurations and sizes can also be provided.
Slideways Oil-Filled Chain and Belt Guides are priced according to configuration and quantity and cost approximately 10% more than virgin UHMW, claims the firm.
