Ceramic Insulators suit electrical and thermal environments.
Press Release Summary:
Machineable ceramic components perform in environments with temperatures to 1,000°C and thermal conductivity to 2,800°C, depending on material. Products offer tolerances to ±.0001 in. as well as flatness and parallelism within ±.0001 in. per 12 in., depending upon part material and configuration. Insulators can be precision machined from Mycalex®, Mykroy®, Arclex®, Grade A LAVA, Boron, Nitride, Macor®, and ceramic filled materials.
Original Press Release:
Machined Ceramic Insulators for Extreme Electrical and Thermal Environments
Machinable ceramic components for high voltage and high temperature applications such as electrical- and thermal insulators or fixtures are available from MICA-TRON Products Corp. of Braintree, Massachusetts.
MICA-TRON Ceramic Insulators exhibit superior electrical insulation properties at temperatures up to 1,000°C and high thermal conductivity to 2,800°C, depending upon material. Providing better dimensional stability than engineering plastics, machinable ceramics are effective for manufacturing components and for prototyping in advance of technical ceramics.
Featuring tolerances to ±.0001", flatness and parallelism within ±.0001" per 12", depending upon part material and configuration, MICA-TRON Ceramic Insulators can be precision machined from a wide variety of ceramics including Mycalex®, Mykroy®, Arclex®, Grade A LAVA, Boron, Nitride, Macor®, and ceramic filled materials.
MICA-TRON Ceramic Insulators are priced according to material, complexity, and quantity. Literature and price quotations are available upon request.
