Ceramic Bearings have lightweight, shock-resistant design.

Press Release Summary:

Comprised of 28 ball-less bearings, BCCRIXM Series is made of Zirconia - ZrO2 ceramic material, which resists deformation, supports high-temperature operation, and exhibits chemical resistance. Zirconia is also nonmagnetic and acts as electrical insulator. Shock absorption and antifriction characteristics make bearings suitable for use in powder, dust, and muddy water environments at speeds under 1,000 rpm. Products fit shaft size diameters from 4-30 mm.

New Ball-Less Ceramic Bearings from QBC are Lighter and Withstand Shock better than Conventional Types

New Hyde Park, New York -- A new series of 28 ball-less ceramic bearings from Quality Bearings & Components, Garden City Park, NY feature lighter weight and better shock absorption characteristics when compared with conventional types. They are made of Zirconia - ZrO2 ceramic material which resists deformation, can be operated at high temperatures, and has an excellent resistance to chemicals. Their superior antifriction characteristics makes them ideal for use in powder, dust and muddy water environments at speeds below 1,000 rpm. Zirconia is also nonmagnetic and acts as an effective electrical insulator, has low thermal conductivity and high fracture toughness.

These ceramic bearings, identified as the BCCRIXM Series, are designed to fit shaft size diameters ranging from 4 mm to 30 mm. Outer ring bearing O.D.'s range from 12 mm to 62 mm.
