Ceramacoat 503-VFG-C Now Used to Seal Thermal Spray Coatings

SUMMARY
Ceramacoat(TM) 503-VFG-C, a new high temperature ceramic coating manufactured by Aremco Products, Inc., is now used to seal corrosion protective thermal spray coatings that are used in bag houses, incinerators, and other metal structures found in power plants, chemical processing plants and foundries.

FEATURES
Ceramacoat(TM) 503-VFG-C is a new high temperature, ceramic-based sealant used to fill the micro-porosity in various thermal spray coatings. This advanced sealant is formulated as a single part, water-dispersible, alumina-filled system. It is an inert, chemically resistant, inorganic material that will not outgas or decompose in high temperature corrosive applications to 3200 ºF (1760 ºC).

Ceramacoat(TM) 503-VFG-C is applied easily using a sponge brush or pneumatic spray equipment. Upon application it can be ramped rapidly to elevated temperatures. A full cure is achieved after exposure for 1-2 hours at 700 oF. Ceramacoat(TM) 503-VFG-S further sinters and strengthens as it is exposed to temperatures above 1000°F.

Ceramacoat(TM) 503-VFG-C is available from stock in pint, quart, gallon and five-gallon drums. Product density is approximately 17.5 lbs per gallon.
