Ceragon Wireless IP Solutions Deployed in Kansas City as Part of 'Operation Green Light' Traffic Management Program

Ceragon's Wireless Gigabit Ethernet Solutions Helps Build one of the Nation's Most Advanced Metro Public Safety Networks

TEL AVIV, Israel, March 12 - Ceragon Networks Ltd. (NASDAQ: CRNT, TASE: CRNT),
www.ceragon.com, a leading provider of high-capacity wireless backhaul solutions, today announced that the Mid-America Regional Council (MARC) is deploying Ceragon's wireless Gigabit Ethernet for fiber-like transmissions. MARC will be using Ceragon's IP technology in Operation Green Light, a regional initiative for reducing traffic congestion and vehicle emissions. Revenues from this deployment are expected to be about $1million.

MARC selected Ceragon's FibeAir IP-MAX for "Operation Green Light" for its high capacity native Gigabit capabilities. Offering up to 800Mbps, the FibeAir IP-MAX enables MARC to have increased backhaul capacity for bandwidth demanding applications. In addition, the FibeAir IP-MAX provides MARC a fiber-quality solution at a fraction of the cost and implementation time of fiber. Ceragon is providing metropolitan Kansas City with a high-capacity wireless backbone with Gigabit Ethernet wireless connections at 11 GHz and 18 GHz. The deployment will be implemented with Olsson Associates as the design consultants and Electronic Technology Inc. as the system integrator.

"MARC selected Ceragon Networks' FibeAir IP-MAX for 'Operation Green Light' for the native IP capabilities which increase backhaul capacity while reducing solution cost," said Reggie Chandra, Manager of Traffic Operations, MARC. "In the future, we envision providing additional wireless services over the Ceragon wireless network."

"With this selection, Kansas City joins Houston and New Orleans among major American metropolitan areas recently selecting Ceragon as the partner of choice for a high-capacity IP wireless backbone" said Ira Palti, President and CEO, Ceragon Networks Ltd. "Ceragon expects this trend to grow as more and more metropolitan areas select high capacity wireless solutions in place of fiber for a range of communications services."

FibeAir IP-MAX is the industry's only native Gigabit Ethernet wireless platform to offer high capacities of 50 to 800 Mbps combined with scalable and dynamic bandwidth allocation of TDM interfaces. This native Ethernet solution with ultra-low latency is optimized for next generation backhaul networks and Metro Ethernet network applications including WiMAX, WiFi, Triple play with IP-DSLAMs and for IP cellular networks. FibeAir IP-MAX answers operator needs for a solution using licensed frequencies and the highest capacities for providing enhanced IP-based services.

About Operation Green Light

Operation Green Light is a joint federal, bistate and local initiative in metropolitan Kansas City tasked to develop and implement a system that will improve the coordination of traffic signals on major routes throughout Kansas City. The goals of Operation Green Light are to reduce air pollution caused by fuel emissions, vehicle stops, delays, driver frustration and fuel consumption. Operation Green Light is expected to reduce travel time between 25 - 40% on congested routes, as well as reducing fuel consumption and vehicle emissions by nearly 20%.
