Agent Logic Launches RulePoint® 4.0, an Award-Winning Complex Event Processing Server

RulePoint 4.0 increases enterprise agility by putting Real-Time Operational Intelligence into the hands of decision makers, analysts, watch officers, and executives

VIENNA, Va., Nov. 20 -- Agent Logic, Inc., a leading provider of user-driven Complex Event Processing (CEP) software, today announced the general availability of RulePoint 4.0. This new version adds significant improvements to support enterprise-wide deployments, focusing on performance and event processing, industry-leading security authentication, and numerous updates to its already easy-to-use web interface.

"The release of RulePoint 4.0 is yet another reason Agent Logic is leading the way in easy-to-use software that provides Operational Intelligence across the enterprise-whether for analysts, decision makers, watch officers, or executives. This simple but powerful advance in real-time automated threat detection, opportunity discovery, and collective intelligence makes an enterprise significantly more agile," said Michael Appelbaum, Agent Logic's Chief Executive Officer. "Our focus continues to be on empowering end users with real-time intelligence by giving them simple and effective ways to obtain Operational Intelligence."

Substantial performance improvements increase RulePoint's throughput and processing speed by up to 600% compared to previous versions on similar hardware. Key enhancements include optimized rule processing for both real-time event streams and data warehouses, high-availability options through persisting in-memory sets to disk, and system uptime guarantees via integrated recoverability for retry/reconnect of RulePoint connections to external data sources.

The new security authentication features in RulePoint 4.0 include native support for LDAP and Microsoft Active Directory servers, certificate-based Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) environments, and Single Sign-On (SSO) web agents. Expanded user and group support that maps to object-level access control lists provides fine-grained control to meet an organization's security control policy.

With over seventy-five feature enhancements to RulePoint's already easy-to-use web interface, the release demonstrates Agent Logic's commitment to provide business users, decision makers, watch officers, and analysts with the power to access user-driven Complex Event Processing traditionally only available to developers or IT personnel. An updated start page dashboard presents a user-centric, real-time, and historical view on the performance and metrics of their individual event processing rules.

RulePoint 4.0 is available for servers running Windows, Sun, and Linux, in multiple CPU configurations. The browser-based user interface supports Microsoft Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox, reducing deployment costs and efforts. RulePoint also includes Agent Logic's web-based Real-Time Alert Manager(TM) for managing, prioritizing, and redirecting alerts.
