Centrifugal Pumps offer sanitary, high-purity design.

Press Release Summary:

Comprised of 5 volute and non-volute models, TRA400 series is machined from 316L stainless steel. Softsterile(TM) flushing system delivers double seal flushing, eliminating sources of contamination, misalignment, and gasket extrusion. Machined directly into casing, diaphragm valve body design results in zero dead leg casing drain. Series offers flow capacities to 320 gpm, with pressures to 190 psi at viscosities to 600 cps and temperatures to 380°F.

Wright Pump® Announces Sanitary Product Line Extension to Include Centrifugal Pumps

Wright Pump has extended its sanitary product through the addition of a new family of high purity centrifugal pumps, positioning Wright as the global sanitary, pharmaceutical and biotech industries' single source for high purity fluid handling hygienic applications.

The new TRA400 series of centrifugal pumps are available in five models in both volute and non-volute styles. Each pump is machined from 316L stainless steel or other high quality alloy bar and plates eliminating the problems associated with traditional castings, such as cracks, pits, shrink, and high ferrite content that may cause rouging in pure water systems. Additionally, the innovative Softsterile(TM) flushing system (patent pending) for double seal flushing eliminates the difficult-to-inspect external piping common to all other high purity centrifugal pumps. The Softsterile system marks a significant technological advance in the art of high-purity pump design because it eliminates the need for multiple connections, gaskets, elbows, bent tubes, and compression fittings that can be sources of contamination, misalignment and gasket extrusion, and thus compromise process purity and reliability.

The TRA400 series also eliminates the "dead leg" found in other centrifugal pumps due to its unique diaphragm valve body machined directly into its casing. This permits a flush face fit with the pumps' interior contour, allowing the diaphragm to be swept continuously with product during operation to achieve true Zero Dead-Leg casing drain. The patent-pending Zero Dead-Leg drains are ½-inch in diameter; larger sizes are available upon request. In addition, all models include stainless steel flange adapters, and are shipped with comprehensive material certification and testing documentation to support Installation Qualification. The TRA400 series provides flow capacities up to 320 GPM (72 m3/hr) with pressures as great as 190 psi (13.1 bar) at viscosities to 2700 SSU (600cPs) with temperatures to 380° F (195° C).

Wright Pump is one of the sanitary industry's leading manufacturers of Circumferential Piston (CP) pumps and drop-in replacement parts for other CP pump manufacturers' products.
