Centrifugal Pump handles corrosive and aggressive fluids.

Press Release Summary:

Prime-Gard® nonmetallic, self-priming, horizontal pump offers fluid contact components made of polypropylene or polyvinylidene fluoride. Retractable front-bearing design allows for mechanical seal inspection. Steel shaft is isolated from liquids and gasses by thick-sectioned, chemically inert, thermoplastic sheath. Pump line provides flows from 5 to 175 gpm with heads to 170 ft at temperatures to 275°F.

Original Press Release:

Self-Priming Thermoplastic Pump for Flows to 175 gpm, Heads to 170 Feet at Temperatures to 275°F

A new well-illustrated catalog sheet describing the extensive Vanton line of nonmetallic self-priming horizontal centrifugal pumps with all fluid contact components made of polypropylene or polyvinylidene fluoride is now available on request. Catalog CGP-11.50 provides detailed specifications, critical dimensions, performance curves and application data on these heavy duty pumps designed for the safe handling of corrosive, abrasive, hazardous, toxic and other aggressive fluids.

The Vanton Prime-Gard® line incorporates many of the unique design features of the Chem-Gard® series of horizontal centrifugal thermoplastic pumps, including the wide open seal area that accommodates most commercially available seals, and the proprietary retractable front bearing design which allows for quick and easy mechanical seal inspection. The ability to readily position this bearing closer to the impeller assures minimum shaft overhang, allowing for higher critical speeds and extended seal life.

Prime-Gard® self-priming pumps are widely used on mobile acid buggies, for sump and tank fluid evacuation, for in-line service where low headroom precludes the use of vertical pumps and for many applications where dependable, rapid self-priming from depths to 15 feet is required. No metal ever contacts the fluid in Vanton pump designs. Even the steel shaft is totally isolated from the liquids or gasses by a thick-sectioned chemically inert thermoplastic sheath.
