Central Connecticut State University Chooses Océ Business Services to Implement Archival Scanning for Enhanced Document Retrieval


New York, N.Y. (June 27) - Océ Business Services, Inc. today announced an agreement with Central Connecticut State University (CCSU) to provide document process management services. Under the agreement, Océ Business Services will implement archival scanning technology designed to help CCSU better manage and preserve millions of pages of documents containing critical student information.

CCSU is Connecticut's oldest publicly supported institution of higher education, with 7,000 full-time and 5,000 part-time students. The university is required to retain millions of pages of documents as mandated by State guidelines; documents that became unwieldy due to volume and required storage space to house hundreds of boxes of paper files. Océ is implementing an archival scanning project - scheduled for completion this fall -- that will convert an estimated 2.5 million pages into digital format, including CD and microfilm.
