CEM's New MARS 6 Nominated for 2012 GIT Innovations Award
MATTHEWS, N.C. - CEM Corporation, a leading global provider of microwave laboratory instrumentation is pleased to announce that the new MARS(TM) 6 Microwave Sample Preparation System with patent-pending One Touch(TM) Technology has been nominated for a 2012 GIT Innovations Award in the Laboratory Equipment and Technology Category. The award is sponsored by GIT Verlag, a German laboratory publication. The MARS 6 is one of four finalists selected by an independent panel of experts. The winner will be chosen by votes cast at this year's Analytica and ACHEMA Exhibitions, as well as online voting at the Pro-4-Pro.com laboratory and biotechnology products website. The winner will be announced at ACHEMA, which will be held June 18 - 22, 2012 in Frankfurt, Germany.

The MARS 6 was developed to make sample preparation for elemental analysis virtually effortless. After automatically determining the number and type of vessels, the MARS 6 optimizes the method parameters, ensuring fast, complete reactions. The system also features a built-in knowledge base and training videos accessible via the large, onboard touchscreen.
