FleetwoodGoldcoWyard Introduces Updated Case Palletizing Technology

ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - Feb. 12, 2008 - FleetwoodGoldcoWyard, a leading supplier of advanced conveyance technology and material handling equipment, is pleased to announce two updated products, RoboMax(TM) and VersaPal(TM), from its case palletizing line.

The RoboMax is designed to take case palletizing to the next level by replacing existing lane dividers, case-turning conveyors and case-turning bumpers with servo-controlled area gantry robots mounted over a continuous mat top belt. These robots accurately position or turn each case, tray or bundle into the selected layer pattern. The configuration of two robots allows for virtually unlimited pattern combinations. But more importantly, it allows for the handling of virtually all kinds of products: cases, naked or shrink-wrapped trays, plastic shells, and shrink-wrapped bundles. This allows products to be palletized that traditionally could not be bump-turned and had to be palletized using slower belt-turning technology, which limited production.

The RoboMax is designed to be flexible in handling different products and patterns as the marketplace changes without requiring expensive modifications. The RoboMax can be supplied as a new machine or as an upgrade to an existing FleetwoodGoldcoWyard Maximizer. Benefits of the RoboMax include the elimination of bump turns, providing for gentler handling that allows products to maintain their integrity; mat top conveyors that allow for smooth handling and accurate positioning of products; reduced maintenance cost; and quicker pattern changes.

The VersaPal L2000 Series of Automatic Case Palletizers are engineered for maximum versatility at rates up to 40 cases per minute. With its low infeed and multiple layout configurations, the L2000 series minimizes floor space and allows production attendants to monitor the palletizing system while performing other tasks. The infeed and layer forming system of the L2000 series employs a unique cyclic infeed technology to eliminate product damage and to maximize output, while offering flexibility to run a variety of columnar and interlocked patterns.

The L2000 series standard features include structural tubing construction with sealed ends, Allen-Bradley control systems, lift-style automatic pallet dispenser, heavy duty multiple strand chain conveyor(s), all electric and pneumatic operation, and perimeter safety guarding with integral safety interrupt light curtain at the full pallet discharge.
