High Accuracy Case Packer Offers Flexibility and Quick Changeover



June 2007, Blacksburg, VA - ESS Technologies, Inc., U.S. distributor of Bergami cartoners, tray formers, wrappers, and tube fillers, offers Bergami's Model C 97 Automatic Horizontal Case Packer as part of its complete line of packaging machinery. The Case Packer loads cartons, bundles, pouches, squeezable tubes, etc. into corrugated cases at a speed of up to 18 cases per minute. The machine is controlled via an Allen Bradley PLC with PanelView HMI for ease of operation.

The C 97 offers a very small footprint, making it a flexible fit to any packaging line. Digital indicators on the front of the machine provide for quick changeover times. Ideal for pharmaceutical, cosmetic, food, and consumer product packaging, the C 97 handles a wide range of carton dimensions. Carton loading is made simple by the horizontal configuration. Suction cups pick up the flat case and are used in the forced opening double arm system which guarantees perfect squaring of the case during product loading.

Case closure options include hot-melt gluing and tape. Other optional features include case coding and case turning.
