New LogBox Wi-Fi Data Logger From Novus

Multi-Channel, Universal Input Logger with Wi-Fi Connectivity

CAS DataLoggers is pleased to introduce the new LogBox Wi-Fi wireless data logger from Novus Automation. The LogBox Wi-Fi is the third model in the LogBox Connect family of wireless data loggers. It is targeted at temperature and environmental monitoring applications in warehouses, laboratories, cleanrooms, data centers, refrigerators/freezer and coolers. Data can be accessed remotely through the Novus cloud, SCADA or IoT applications or on a PC via the NXperience software.

The design of the LogBox Wi-Fi makes it easy to connect to most common sensors. It has three universal analog inputs which accept direct connection from thermocouples, Pt100 RTD temperature sensors or other sensors with 4-20mA or voltage outputs. It also provides one digital input which can record events such as opening a door or can count pulses from a device like a flow meter. Each channel can be configured with a high and low alarm set point which can activate an indicator on the display, a built in buzzer and/or a local digital output.

A key feature of the LogBox Wi-Fi is its integrated 802.11 b/g/n wireless interface that can upload data via Modbus TCP to the NOVUS cloud, SCADA system or other cloud based system. The Novus cloud is an internet portal that allows storage and display of temperature, humidity, pressure, flow, geolocation or other measurements. A built-in USB interface allows connection to a PC using the NXperience software for configuration and local data collection. The NXperience Windows application offers a powerful tool for visualization, data analysis and reporting. The LogBox Wi-Fi also supports the MQTT protocol allowing it to publish data to cloud based servers or brokers as part of an Internet of Things (IoT) system.

Key Features of the LogBox 3G Include:

  • 3 Line LCD display
  • Internal storage for 140,000 data points
  • Battery backup for continuous recording
  • 3 Analog and 1 digital inputs
  • 1 Digital output
  • Local high and low alarm limits
  • Audible alarm output
  • Removable connectors

The LogBox Wi-Fi is designed for applications that requires accuracy in monitoring and recording data such as storage and transportation of temperature sensitive items, and environmental monitoring in warehouses, offices and laboratories.
