CAS DataLoggers Exhibiting at DAMOP 2015

June 8-12 in Columbus OH

CHESTERLAND OH — CAS DataLoggers is proud to be exhibiting at the American Physical Society's 46th Annual DAMOP Meeting (Div. of Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics) held June 8-12 in Columbus OH. This year CAS DataLoggers Sales Manager Pete Martin will be accompanied by Heinz Beimert from German manufacturer Jager-ADwin. For more show information visit the official site at http://www.aps.org/units/damop/meetings/annual/index.cfm.

This year's meeting is hosted at the Hyatt Regency Columbus and the Greater Columbus Convention Center. Pete Martin and Heinz Beimert have many years' experience supplying custom data acquisition and control solutions to academia and the RD industry. At DAMOP 2015 they'll be showing attendees how the ADwin Pro-II Data Acquisition and Control system is ideal for high-speed microscope control applications.

ADwin—High-Speed Systems for the Lab

The ADwin-Pro II data acquisition system records real-time measurements at high accuracy with precise timing and deterministic control of experiment processes. The key advantage of ADwin systems are their tightly-coupled analog and digital inputs along with counters which provide extremely low-latency operation. These devices utilize a modular form factor with plug-in modules to allow up to 480 analog or digital inputs in a single chassis, along with a high-performance 300 MHz DSP processor and an Ethernet communications interface.

The Pro II system's extraordinary speed provides complex lab applications with a high data rate and deterministic operation with usecond response times. In addition, ADwin's fast processor allows an intelligent pre-selection of relevant data, mathematical functions or digital channel filtering. The ADwin Pro II is available in a broad variety of robust housing with a wide variety of different modules. The ADwin software environment can be used under Windows (2000/XP/Vista/Win7) and Linux, or as a stand-alone data acquisition system.

I/O Cards for Further Customization:

Designed for controlling and monitoring high-speed physics experiments, ADwin's PRO-II-Aout-1/16 50MHz Analog Output Card is extremely cost-effective. The card features a single 16-bit analog output which can update at a 50 MHz rate along with 16 digital inputs and 16 digital outputs. In addition to a point-by-point output mode, the card's onboard coprocessor and memory buffer allows users to generate complex arbitrary waveforms or ramp signals independent of the main system processor. The card is well suited to demanding applications such as scanning microscopy, Magneto Optical Traps (MOT), Quadrapole Ion Traps (QIT) or Quadrapole Ion Storage Traps (QUISTOR).

In cases where users require more than 1 channel, multiple cards can run in a single system while running all output channels synchronized to each other. An arbitrary function mode enables analog and digital data to be written directly to the outputs from a large memory buffer (256Mbyte). This can be done in a single-shot mode or in a repeated controlled block mode.
